Saturday 9th May was The Ramsbury Street Fair. The village was full of life, with the entire community coming together. Luckily, despite a dodgy forecast, the weather held out well and there was even a glimpse of sunshine in the afternoon. ATE had a busy day, with lots of activity going on to raise much needed funds to support our work in Ghana. Local community events are an important fundraising stream, and help us to remain in the forefront of peoples minds.

The ATE Sprint Cycle Challenge was a huge success, drawing out the competitive nature in lots of people!

The aim of the competition, was to create as much power as possible in a 30 second period. Average power was recorded and written on a ‘Top Gear Style’ score board. The competition caused a lot of excitement, and exhaustion!

We were lucky enough to have lots and lots of cakes donated by generous local people – thank you to everyone who made bought one for us! This lead to a fantastic range of lovely cakes which were all sold! Special thanks to Ethel Hutchins and Penny Willetts for helping to run the stall on the day, and to Sue Brady Catering and her staff for donating so many absolutely wonderful cakes – we are very grateful.

Luke worked hard on the BBQ all day long, making some tasty bacon baps. They smelled amazing!

In total, we raised a fantastic £345, AND collected 3 new standing order forms. We are thrilled! Thanks everyone for your support and for Ian Smith for organising a great day.
