International School Meals Day was launched in March 2013, and schools across the world have taken part in this day, which celebrates food and promotes healthy living through the education environment, annually. This international event has the backing of several large organisations including The World Food Programme, the Global Child Nutrition Foundation, The United States Department of Agriculture, Food, Nutrition and Consumer Services, as well as many others. Please visit http://www.internationalschoolmealsday.com/about/ to find out about International School Meals Day.
As a result of the upcoming International School Meals Day (03/03/2016), ATE is running a campaign to raise awareness and increase donations for our school feeding programs at Karbo Primary, Karbo Junior High and Dowine High Schools in Upper West Ghana.
Our research and data analysis emphasises the importance, success and progress made as a result of our already operational free school meal programs. This report highlights that the average height, weight, and attendance rates of students have all increased as a result of our EducATE programme.
It costs JUST £4 per month to provide 1 student with a meal each day every day – to set up a standing order, or make a one off donation please visit https://mydonate.bt.com/donation/start.html?charity=70996
We have also set up a donate by text code to make a donation even easier. Just text “Feed16” followed by the amount you wish to donate to 70070 to make a one off donation. (example – “Feed16 £1”)
Thankyou in advance for your support.
