We had a really lovely day today at Karbo Primary School, I took my friend Dee, who is here to support some of the SNAP children, there to see the great work that ATE are doing to support education in Lawra.

We were really thrilled to see that GES (Ghana Education Service) has recently provided a complete set of brand new text books for all of the classes! So many children were enjoying learning, and we were really impressed with the fantastic reading taking place in P2 (6- 7 year olds). It’s so exciting that these government textbooks will be complimented by the beautiful story books that will be arriving in the container later this month.

We visited each class, and then ate some very tasty jollof rice that had been prepared by the three cooks that work extremely hard to prepare food each day for 451 children. These nutritious free-school lunches continue to encourage children into school and enhance ability to learn.
