We are thrilled to be supporting a new group of apprentices in Lawra, as well as our first cohort in Nandom!
This summer, we are excited to open applications for another round of young women to join our apprenticeship programme in Lawra, and our first ever cohort in Nandom. Our VocATE programme supportsĀ the next generation of hairdressers, weavers and seamstresses to learn the skills that will set them up for life. We link apprentices up with a trusted trainer; provide equipment, bicycles and training fees; monitor progress and ensure the young women are well-trained and well-treated.
As always, to be eligible for our VocATE apprenticeship programme:
- You must not be in employment where you take a salary from any private or government organisation
- You must live within Lawra or Nandom District
- You must be ready to work hard and commit to your apprenticeship
How to apply
To apply for the VocATE programme, please visit the ATE Office and Inclusion Centre in Lawra (opposite the fire station) or Nandom (by Segru market), to pick up an application form.
Applications are now open:
- The deadline in Lawra is Friday 29th August
- The deadline in Nandom is Friday 5th September
Good luck!
