2800 mile challenge, Map and routeFrom ATE’s head office in Ramsbury to the Lawra District in Ghana where we deliver our programmes, it is 2,800 miles as the crow flies. That’s a long way but we’d like you to help us reach it and fundraise as you go!

For 2017, we have decided to set ourselves and our supporters a massive target… to accumulate 2,800 miles through walking, running, cycling, climbing, swimming or other physical activities!

It’s that time of year when many of us are thinking of new challenges, new goals or new exercise routines to set ourselves for the year ahead. We’d like to invite you to be part of this massive challenge and collectively walk, run, cycle and swim the 2,800 miles to Lawra!

It couldn’t be simpler to participate. Sign yourself up for any challenge from a walk across the beautiful Peak District to the Accra Marathon! Choose Action Through Enterprise as your charity to support and we’ll add those distances together, big and small, to see how many miles we can cover from January to December 2017 and how much we can raise together as we go! The more people involved, the more miles we get! So don’t do it alone, get your friends involved, get the office involved, get Mum involved! 2,800 is a lot of miles, so let’s get moving! (Don’t forget to post a selfie on facebook or twitter and tag us #ATEGhana to let us know how many miles you achieved towards the #2800miles).;

We’ve found some great challenges to get you started, from family fun runs to some that will seriously test your endurance! There’s something for everyone so have a look at our Fundraising Challenges page to set yourself a target for 2017 and to help ATE reach Ghana!
