We are lucky enough to receive incredible ongoing support from so many people. One of our generous friends is Karen Barraclough, who has been supporting ATE since the very beginning.

As part of her contribution, Karen raises money for us by organising ‘Eat for ATE’ lunches at her house. This simple and enjoyable method of fundraising made £95 last week! This is how she does it…….

’11 of us met at my house last Friday to Eat for ATE. Everyone was asked to bring a plate of food to share and £5 for the charity. The donations were amazing, delicious and varied and included Bucks Fizz, quiche, cold meats, salads, cheese, cakes, chocolate… My daughter baked a special ATE cake.

There were extra donations from people who weren’t able to come or to bring a plate with them. We had a wonderful time and I was delighted to be able to give £95 to Sarah on Monday.  It’s astonishing to think that each £5 will feed 5 children in Lawra every day for a week! Many thanks to everyone involved (with a special mention for all the helpers and dishwashers…)

Everyone was looking forward to meeting Sarah and seeing the film but sadly she wasn’t well that day – we missed you Sarah and look forward to seeing you next time.’
