๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ“š Our Library is open! ๐Ÿ“š๐Ÿ’š

Weโ€™re absolutely over the moon to now be offering Library Sessions in our Lawra Inclusion Centre!

After school during the week and on Saturday mornings, children are welcome to read, do their homework, colour or draw. A safe, vibrant learning space, with dedicated staff to provide support - weโ€™re helping children become the best they can be. A crucial offering to enable this generation of young people to break the cycle of poverty.

Nandom Library is coming soon! As a well as a tech overhaul in both Inclusion Centresโ€ฆ. Weโ€™re in a hugely exciting time of growth, and so delighted to be able to do even more incredible work.

Especial thanks to our fab new library staff team Baku Blandina and Olivia Saa, Kate Regan and Dee Anderson our dedicated volunteers currently in Lawra supporting training of staff, and to Ghana School Aid UK for their generous funding which made the dream of this new project come true!

"This has been such a big relief โ€“ I can now read without any difficulty. I want to sincerely thank ATE for this wonderful support!" โ€“ Petronilla

In Lawra and Nandom, it's easy to find out your prescription at the hospital, but very difficult to get the glasses you need. So, we provide them, free of charge, to anyone who needs them. It's a tiny part of what we do from our Inclusion Centres, but makes a huge difference for hundreds of people each year.

Thank you to all of the wonderful people who donate their glasses to us, and to local opticians for testing and labelling them ๐Ÿ‘“
