Recruitment of a Trustee – Specialising in International Development

ATE is seeking a passionate development professional to add to our well established, committed and highly skilled board of five trustees.

We are looking to appoint a new trustee with knowledge of poverty reduction in developing countries. The ideal candidate will have lived and worked/volunteered in rural sub-Saharan Africa and have an excellent understanding of the current development context.

Applicants should have demonstrated the ability to grasp and contribute to strategic thinking, and be able to work collaboratively with others to help the charity to achieve its aims.

Time commitment: The board meets three times per year in either Greater London or Wiltshire, once for a full day, preceded by dinner the night before, and twice for half a day. All meetings require prior reading and some follow up items. All meetings are on either Saturdays or Sundays to accommodate working members. Trustees are also expected to take on responsibilities related to their specialty. This is a voluntary unpaid role.

To apply, please send a cover letter and CV to ATE’s Chair of Trustee’s, Charles Gardner, at charlesgardner@live.com by Friday 12th May 2017.
