ATE is extremely proud to announce that we have received the GUBA 2017 Best Charity of the Year Award!

The Ghana UK Based Achievement Awards (GUBA) is a platform to celebrate, recognise and support Ghanaian-based individuals, businesses and innovation in the UK as well as charities making ‘hugely significant’ contributions to Ghanaian society. It was a huge honour for ATE to be nominated for the Charity of the Year Award and an even greater accolade to have won!

ATE Ambassadors, Michele Carlisle and Asif Noorani attended the GUBA Awards Ceremony 2017 at the Intercontinental London at the O2 on Saturday 3rd June to collect the award on behalf of ATE Chief Executive Sarah Albeboure and Ghana Operations Manager, Habib Albeboure, who were home nursing their new baby daughter, Aviella.

“This award is for the people of Lawra, Upper West, Ghana and the people of Ramsbury and the surrounding areas in Wiltshire, England, who together feed almost a thousand children every day in schools in Lawra District, support 150 marginalised disabled children and their families, and support 64 small business owners who are working to build a better life for their families. This award is for them!” – Michele Carlisle

A huge thank you to everyone who voted, who believe in us and support our work!
